CAP TODAY reported in the December 2002 issue (“A CPT overhaul for hematology,” page 58) that CPT codes 85014 and 85018 and three units of 85036 is an error; the correct code 80532. If individual parts of the evaluation are necessary, use one unit of 85032 for each manual erythrocyte, leukocyte, or platelet count.
