Feb. 28, 2018—ElitechGroup Molecular Diagnostics launched its Respiratory Bacterial Elite MGB Panel, a high-performance multiplex assay for the diagnosis of bacterial respiratory infections and validated with the Elite InGenius fully automated sample-to-result system. The panel detects and differentiates in a single reaction M. pneumoniae, C. pneumoniae, and L. pneumophila. A clinical study has demonstrated a performance of 100 percent diagnostic sensitivity and 100 percent diagnostic specificity for all targets.

The CE-IVD Elite InGenius respiratory menu will be further broadened with a real-time PCR assay for the detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and associated multidrug resistant forms to rifampicin and of isoniazid.
