March 2020—Hamilton Storage introduced the Lab­Elite DeFroster for removing frost on tube racks. The unit automatically draws a single rack into one end where mechanical brushes and a liquid solvent remove frost in less than 10 seconds, then the rack is sent out the opposite end. The platform will not warm samples more than 15°C, ensuring sample integrity, can operate in a cold room environment ranging from +10°C to +30°C, and is mobile, allowing users to perform work while using battery power. The defroster is compatible with tube types up to 90 mm high.

February 2017—Hamilton Storage introduced its SAM HD, a low-capacity automated sample management system that aims to be a reliable, walkaway solution for labs seeking to transition from manual to automated sample storage.

February 2016—Hamilton Storage introduced RackWare HD138 and HD60 high-density SBS-footprint racks for microtube and cryovial storage. Designed for use with Hamilton’s BiOS, SAM, and Verso sample management and storage systems, RackWare increases storage capacity by increasing the number of tubes that can be placed in an SBS-footprint rack. The racks can also be used to maximize storage in manual freezers.
