Indica, Hamamatsu to provide integrated DP workflows

Oct. 18, 2022—Indica Labs and Hamamatsu Photonics announced an agreement to maintain long-term interoperability between Indica Labs’ Halo AP software platform and Hamamatsu’s NanoZoomer series of scanners.

“This agreement is an important reassurance to our mutual customers that both companies are committed to working together on technical, regulatory, and commercial fronts,” Steven Hashagen, CEO of Indica Labs, said in a joint press release from the companies. “It ensures we can achieve image fidelity and interoperability across our viewing and analysis software, allows us to align our regulatory submissions, and facilitates sales and support cooperation for our mutual customers as we have demonstrated in the past.”

HALO AP anatomic pathology software provides digital pathology slide management, collaboration, and AI-powered quantitative image analysis. It is CE-IVD marked, allowing the product to be used for primary diagnosis in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the U.K. It is for research use only in the United States. The NanoZoomer S360MD is an FDA 510(k)-cleared, high-throughput automated slide scanner system for primary diagnostic use.
