May 13, 2026—The following customer bulletin about A1CNow+ Controls (REF 737) is published at the request of Nova-One Diagnostics.
As of June 1, 2026, A1CNow+ Controls (REF 737) will be discontinued in the United States and the Maldives due to supply chain limitations. PTS Diagnostics will continue to support any remaining product through its labeled expiration date. This change is not related to product quality or performance.
Recommended alternative. To support continued quality control testing, PTS Diagnostics recommends HbA1c controls manufactured by Nova-One Diagnostics (www.nova-one.com).
Nova-One A1C Control solutions (NOD13111-100 and NOD13122-100) are compatible with the A1CNow+ system and may be used for routine quality control testing in place of A1CNow+ Controls. These products are available through the Nova-One website and major medical supply distributors.
Important features of the Nova-One A1C Control Solution include the following: liquid control material that is ready to use (no reconstitution required); two control levels (normal and abnormal) for routine quality control verification; formulated using stabilized human whole blood to simulate patient samples; kit includes no charge sample mounting slides and disposable pipettes; refrigerated stability for up to 180 days when properly stored; and designed for use with A1CNow+ systems.
Why this change was made and where to direct questions. This change supports uninterrupted supply. It does not result from any product concern or quality issue and maintains the high standards of PTS Diagnostics.
