Accumen releases EUA COVID-19 saliva testing kits

October 2020—Accumen announced a partnership with medical equipment manufacturer Spectrum Solutions to provide saliva testing kits for detecting COVID-19.

Spectrum’s SDNA-1000 saliva collection device delivers 100 percent neutralization of the live virus and can preserve and stabilize viral RNA transcripts for transport in extreme and varying temperatures, the company says, for more than 14 days and for up to one year post-collection in ambient storage.
