ARUP launches Clarispect myeloma MRD assay

Marketplace

September 2026—ARUP Laboratories has launched ARUP Clarispect Multiple Myeloma MRD by Spectral Flow Cytometry. The assay will characterize small neoplastic populations with greater confidence and sensitivity than conventional flow cytometry, providing deep minimal residual disease profiling for patients who have multiple myeloma. The assay analyzes 18 markers in one tube and can detect as few as 14 neoplastic cells in a population of 5 million analyzed cells with 95 percent confidence. ARUP says it is the first large reference laboratory in the United States to offer spectral flow technology for clinical use.
