Feb. 11, 2021–BioDiscovery has released NxClinical 6.0, the company’s fifth major upgrade to its software for integrated analysis of copy number, sequence variants, and allelic changes obtained from multiple technologies.
The software upgrade comes with almost 500 features and improvements, the company says, including a variant details user interface that pulls together relevant information from various sources and presents it in a single view; an integrated knowledge base for CNV and absence of heterozygosity events, allowing the laboratory to collect, organize, and use knowledge from its own constitutional or oncology case history to create consistent interpretations and reports; and enhanced support for cancer cytogenetic testing, allowing the creation of genome-wide CNV and AOH profiles in the knowledge base and the ranking of new cases based on similarity to these established cancer types.
