July 6, 2026—Epredia has launched sales of the SlideMate thermal slide printer, engineered to help clinical laboratories protect tissue samples, strengthen sample traceability, and streamline workflow efficiency during cancer diagnosis. The SlideMate TSP creates crisp, permanent thermal transfer printing on microscope slides and includes modernized features such as enclosed slide hoppers to protect samples from potential dust contamination and mechanical slide movement that offers smoother handling than gravity-fed solutions. The instrument’s compact size allows for integration into any histology, cytology, or other pathology workflow, and it can interface with a laboratory information system when used in conjunction with Epredia LabWriter software. Epredia also offers nonadhesion slides with Superfrost technology and adhesion slides with Superfrost Plus technology to maximize tissue adherence.
