Aug. 25, 2023—Evident has introduced its Slideview DX VS-M1R whole slide imaging system, for research use only. The scanner uses a high color–rendering LED light source for precise color reproduction and displays images on a medical-grade monitor with automatic color calibration. A virtual slide tray mimics handling a physical slide on a holder and enables users to take measurements and make annotations on the digital slides. The system scans more than 80 slides per hour and supports five slide racks that can hold up to 30 slides each. The system’s software integrates with existing LIS systems and supports various health care network protocols, such as HL-7.
