January 2015—Thermo Fisher Scientific launched its DRI Hydrocodone/Hydromorphone Assay, a homogeneous enzyme immunoassay that specifically detects hydrocodone and major metabolites in human urine at a 300 ng/mL cut-off. The assay uses liquid ready-to-use reagents, calibrators, and controls and can be run in qualitative and semiquantitative modes. The assay has excellent cross-reactivity to the major metabolites hydromorphone and hydromorphone glucuronide and demonstrated good correlation with LC-MS/MS.
