Sept. 3, 2024—Maine Molecular Quality Controls has launched reference materials for the Cepheid Xpert PML-RARA assay. The Xpert PML-RARA Control Panel C215 is an external reference material used to monitor the performance of in vitro laboratory nucleic acid testing procedures for the quantitative detection of PML-RARA transcript isoforms bcr1, bcr2, and bcr3 and ABL1 endogenous control mRNA transcript when analyzed using the Xpert PML-RARA assay on the Cepheid GeneXpert system. The kit contains 10 4-mL bottles, two of each percent levels—zero percent, bcr1 one percent, bcr2 one percent, bcr3 one percent, and bcr1 20 percent.
The company also launched the Xpert PML-RARA Linearity Panel C221, intended for use as a reference material to monitor the reportable range of in vitro laboratory nucleic acid testing procedures for the quantitative detection of PML-RARA transcript isoform bcr1 and ABL1 endogenous control mRNA transcript when analyzed using the Xpert PML-RARA assay on the Cepheid GeneXpert system. The kit contains 10 4-mL bottles, two of each percent levels—bcr1 0.1 percent, bcr1 one percent, bcr1 20 percent, bcr1 100 percent, and bcr1 450 percent.
