September 2026—MRC Holland has launched its NXtec D008 DMD, a digitalMLPA assay designed for the detection of copy number variations linked to Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies. NXtec D008 DMD is a next-generation sequencing–based solution that provides comprehensive, high-resolution CNV analysis in a single reaction with as little as 20 ng of sample DNA.
The assay includes 158 probes covering all 79 exons of the DMD gene with two probes per exon. Fifty supplementary probes targeting the X chromosome enable the detection of larger CNVs and chromosomal abnormalities, such as X-chromosome aneuploidies. Time from sample to sequencer is less than 24 hours.
