Randox releases MRSA/MSSA PCR test on Vivalytic system

Oct. 7, 2022—Randox Laboratories has added its MRSA/SA test to the Vivalytic system. The real-time PCR test detects and differentiates between methicillin-resistant and methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus in 53 minutes with a sample volume of 600 µL using a nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab sample. The Vivalytic system, developed in partnership with Bosch, is a fully automated, point-of-care, cartridge-based platform.
