Dec. 5, 2023—Spire Healthcare, through its partnership with Paris-based digital pathology company Tribun Health, announced its plans to launch its new digital infrastructure and services early this month. Spire has an annual production volume of 150,000 pathology slides and encompasses 39 hospitals and more than 30 clinics, medical centers, and consulting rooms across England, Wales, and Scotland.
“Our primary goal is to deliver a high-quality, professional service that aligns with our desire to further improve turnaround times by reducing the burden of moving glass slides, create a single community of specialist pathologist, and develop a digital platform ready to support AI,” Mike Langford, head of pathology at Spire, said in a Dec. 4 press release. “We sought a digital pathology partner who could provide an implementation plan tailored to our requirements, ensuring operational resilience, asset maintenance, and be responsive in project delivery.”
