Oct. 9, 2025—Bio-Rad Laboratories has launched its Specialty Immunoassay Plus in Europe. SPIA Plus is a four-level, comprehensive, independent immunoassay quality control designed to monitor the precision of laboratory specialty IA testing procedures. The product, available in barcoded, load-and-go InteliQ and standard vial Liquichek configurations, features clinically relevant analytes such as procalcitonin, interleukin-6, active vitamin B12, TSH receptor antibodies, thyroid stimulating immunoglobulins, fructosamine, and others. It also contains optimized vitamin D ranges to support Vitamin D Standardization Program–compliant assays and offers improved open-vial stability for intact parathyroid hormone to minimize QC waste.
