November 2023—Bio SB has launched a fully automated immunohistochemistry platform for deparaffinization and antigen retrieval and staining. Applications include immunohistochemistry, Mohs IHC, immunocytochemistry, and immunofluorescence of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue, frozen tissue, and cell specimens.
“Our new generation of new recombinant antibodies offers higher affinity, sensitivity, and specificity when compared to the previous generation of mouse monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies traditionally used in diagnostic immunohistochemistry applications,” Dr. Alfonso Heras, president and CEO of Bio SB, said in a press statement. “Additionally, our new platform uses our micropolymer Fab’ detection systems that enable us to detect the expression of biomarkers on tissue biopsies in five to 20 minutes, and it is especially suited for intraoperatory Mohs IHC.”
The instrument holds three independent slide trays with up to 10 slides, for a total capacity of 30 slides. Slides are barcoded and monitored thermally in real time for temperature control.
