CellaVision bone marrow aspirate application gets CE mark

February 2026—CellaVision’s bone marrow aspirate application has received the CE mark as a class C product under the European Union in vitro diagnostic regulation. The BMA application runs on the CellaVision DC-1 instrument using a 100× objective and consists of the CellaVision BMA analyzer software and BMA review software. The analyzer software automatically locates, preclassifies, and stores bone marrow aspirate cells based on morphology using advanced AI-driven technology. When the analyzer and review software are paired, users can securely access cell images and verify preclassification results from any location, at any time.

The CE-marked CellaVision DC-1 is supplied with the CellaVision peripheral blood application as a standard feature. By adding the BMA application, laboratories can analyze and review bone marrow and peripheral blood samples side by side.
