May 2026—The Food and Drug Administration has cleared the Qiagen QIAstat-Dx Gastrointestinal Panel 2 and QIAstat-Dx GI Panel 2 Mini B and Mini B&V for use on the QIAstat-Dx Rise automated syndromic testing system. The QIAstat-Dx Gastrointestinal Panel 2 detects 16 bacterial, viral, and parasitic pathogens from a single stool sample, including clinically relevant Shiga toxin-producing E. coli subtypes such as stx2f. The QIAstat-Dx GI Panel 2 Mini B and Mini B&V provide targeted detection of five gastrointestinal pathogens, including STEC.
