June 2016—BD Biosciences introduced the BD Accuri C6 Plus flow cytometer. This new cytometer has several optimized enhancements to the internal hardware, fluidics, and software while maintaining the core elements of the prior platform such as the nonpressurized peristaltic pump system and compact exterior design.
The optical system demonstrates extraordinary fluorescence sensitivity, according to a company statement. A new instrument QC feature automates daily validation using BD Cytometer Setup and Tracking RUO beads to ensure that the instrument meets performance specifications and automatically updates compensation settings for popular fluorochromes. The ability to use BD CS&T RUO beads helps users with simplified quality control methods, improving reliability of the experimental data. The BD Accuri CSampler Plus, an optional automated sample loader, also is available along with an all-in-one workstation computer.
