February 2024—Horiba Medical has launched the CE-IVDR–approved HELO 2.0 high-throughput automated hematology platform. The platform is composed of the Yumizen H1500 and H2500 high-throughput hematology analyzers, Yumizen T6000 automated conveyor, Yumizen P8000 middleware and expert validation station, and Yumizen SPS automatic slide maker. In addition, CellaVision digital cell morphology systems can be integrated with the P8000 middleware.

Listening to our customers’ feedback, we have again applied our hematology expertise and heritage for innovation to further enhance our HELO automated hematology platform,” said Arnaud Pradel, general manager of Horiba Medical, in a press statement. “In the HELO 2.0 we offer an even more flexible and efficient system to reduce slide review rate that provides an optimum solution to the ever-evolving needs of many different laboratories.”
Four configurations are offered—linear, angular, workcell, and island—and can accommodate up to six analyzers and six slide preparation systems.
