387-SarstedtSarstedt introduced its next generation of cell culture flasks, dishes, and plates redesigned for “superior growth, economic handling, and traceability,” according to a company statement. All items are imprinted with lot number and expiration date and are individually color-coded for one of three culture surfaces. Flasks and dishes are packaged in resealable zip bags, and individual plate packaging has been optimized for easy opening and compact storage.

Next-generation flasks feature modified canted necks to facilitate access to all corners with pipettes and scrapers. Labeling areas have been added near the cap for identification in incubators, side graduations include a maximum fill indication, and a one-third turn of the cap allows for quick opening and closing.

SureGrip rings on updated Sarstedt cell culture dish bases are notched for secure handling, and orientation arrows are molded on dish bases and lids for simple matching.

Cell culture plate dimensions have been standardized in accordance with the American National Standards Institute and Society of Biomolecular Screening and are available in a full range of six-, 12-, 24-, 48-, and 96-well options. Freestanding wells ensure consistent gas exchange and individual alphanumeric well labels enable quick sample identification.
