May 2019—Thermo Fisher Scientific launched its standard performance ultra-low temperature freezer series. The Thermo Scientific STP -80°C ULT freezers use hydrocarbon refrigerants and are designed to provide temperature stability and uniformity throughout the internal chamber. According to the company, the freezers use less energy, emit less heat, and have a noise output level of less than 53 dbA. The STP ULT freezers are available in four storage capacities.
