In situ hybridization adapter, 6/14

June 2014—Techne added an in situ hybridization adapter to its Prime range of thermal cyclers. By inserting the adapter, a 96-well thermal cycler is converted to an in situ hybridization instrument that can accommodate up to four standard-size microscope slides with ±0.25˚C block uniformity.

June 2014—The Minivette POC testing devices from Sarstedt are for the collection, transfer, and subsequent dispensing of small capillary blood samples for point-of-care tests. Blood is collected via capillary action into the collection capillary, the sample is held securely during transfer, and then it is dispensed onto the test field or into a micro tube with a slight push of the opposing integral piston.

December 2013—Rehrig Pacific’s SharpsTank reusable sharps container model TS has received FDA 510(k) clearance as a class II medical device. The SharpsTank model TS is a 4.9-gallon reusable container with an integrated hinged lid, restrictive mail chute, and flusher insert. The container is supplied to the customer fully assembled.
