OptraScan launches BactoSia

July 2026—OptraScan launched BactoSia, an AI-assisted tuberculosis treatment monitoring and follow-up solution designed to assist with sputum smear microscopy. BactoSia combines high-resolution brightfield whole-slide imaging with AI-based algorithms to detect and quantify acid-fast bacilli on Ziehl-Neelsen-stained sputum samples.
