July 2026—The FDA has granted 510(k) clearance for Diazyme Laboratories’ Lipoprotein(a) Molarity assay for use in the quantitative determination of Lp(a) levels in human serum and plasma, reported in molar units (nmol/L).
July 2026—OptraScan launched BactoSia, an AI-assisted tuberculosis treatment monitoring and follow-up solution designed to assist with sputum smear microscopy. BactoSia combines high-resolution brightfield whole-slide imaging with AI-based algorithms to detect and quantify acid-fast bacilli on Ziehl-Neelsen-stained sputum samples.
