July 2026—Seegene launched its new antimicrobial resistance testing product, the Allplex MDRO assay. The assay, which is CE marked under the EU in vitro diagnostic regulation, is designed to identify key multidrug-resistant pathogens and associated resistance genes in a single run and can support same-day reporting, depending on laboratory workflow.

By identifying these pathogens simultaneously, the assay aims to help laboratories streamline their operations while enhancing the safety of blood and blood products for patients.

July 2026—QuidelOrtho has completed the acquisition of Lex Diagnostics for about $100 million in cash. The acquisition follows the FDA 510(k) clearance and CLIA waiver of the Lex Velo molecular diagnostics platform in February.
July 2026—CareDx has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Naveris for $160 million up front plus up to $100 million in additional payments tied to revenue milestones. Naveris is a precision oncology diagnostics company with a Medicare-reimbursed, blood‑based monitoring test for cancers caused by viral infections.
July 2026—Labcorp announced that ColoSense, an FDA-approved, at-home test for colorectal cancer screening, is now available for adults ages 45 to 85 who are at average risk for developing CRC. The test uses RNA-based technology to detect biomarkers associated with colorectal cancer and advanced adenomas.
July 2026—Labcorp and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia are collaborating to advance the discovery, development, and availability of specialized pediatric diagnostics. CHOP and Labcorp will create a joint pediatric diagnostics innovation pipeline in which the organizations will identify, develop, and expand new tests and technologies, with the aim of streamlining the path from discovery to national availability.
