June 2015—Enzo Biochem announced the development of the FlowScript assay in detection of messenger RNA from HPV oncogenes E6 and E7. The FlowScript technology platform is a proprietary flow-cytometry-based molecular detection system for the multiplex analysis of cell function and identity; the HPV E6/E7 assay is the first product to use this novel platform.
June 2015—The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded a third U.S. patent to BioDot for its FISHArray technology and methods. BioDot’s patent family broadly covers technology and methods for performing multiple fluoresence in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry, and cytogenetic tests on a single substrate, whether performed manually or through automated workstations, such as the company’s CellWriter Workstation.
June 2015—Oxford Immunotec announced the availability in the United States of a test that measures the strength of a patient’s cellular immune response to cytomegalovirus. The T-Spot.CMV test is available as a laboratory-developed test from the company’s CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited service laboratory.

June 2015—Dako, an Agilent Technologies Company, announced a new master collaboration agreement with Amgen. The expanded collaboration will allow both companies to benefit from knowledge sharing within the field of drug-diagnostic research and development and in relation to companion diagnostic products.
June 2015—APiQ (Anatomic Pathology with Extra Intelligence) from Leica provides real-time laboratory workflow information on mobile devices. The initial release consists of two immunohistochemistry solutions: the APiQ Inventory Manager and the APiQ Instrument Dashboard.
June 2015—Horizon Discovery Group has signed a supply and commercialization agreement with Thermo Fisher Scientific. Under the terms of the agreement, Thermo Fisher will market and distribute Horizon’s X-MAN human haploid and diploid isogenic cell line collection and will further offer the X-MAN haploid cell line generation service to its worldwide customer base.
June 2015—Agena Bioscience released the LungFusion Panel for rapid and sensitive identification of oncogenic ALK, RET, and ROS1 gene fusions in non-small cell lung cancer tumors. Using as little as 10 ng of complementary DNA template, the research-use-only, single-well panel identifies expressed translocations of known clinical relevance in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded and fresh frozen tissue samples.
June 2015—Bio-Rad is extending its agreement with Beckman Coulter and has named the company exclusive global distributor of Bio-Rad’s Access HIV combo assay and the Access hepatitis C virus assay in select geographies (the products are not available in the U.S. or Vietnam).
