January 2016—Beckman Coulter Diagnostics launched its Cystatin C assay for the company’s AU clinical low- to ultra-high-volume family of chemistry systems and Immage 800 immunochemistry systems.
The Cystatin C assay is an in vitro diagnostic test for quantitative determination of cystatin C in human serum and plasma. The measurement of cystatin C is used in the diagnosis and treatment of renal diseases.
The all-liquid, ready-to-use reagent has a total imprecision 8.0 mg/L. On the AU systems, cystatin C is an immunoturbidimetric method, and on the Immage systems, the method is a nephelometric method.
The monoclonal antibody is manufactured by Gentian AS.
