November 2017—Vector Laboratories introduced the VectaFluor Duet kit, offering ready-to-use immunofluorescence double labeling. This kit is ideal for use on a range of frozen and formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue samples, combining primary and secondary antibodies to streamline workflow. VectaFluor Duet includes a secondary reagent to detect mouse and rat primary antibodies with green and red DyLight fluorescent dyes and a normal blocking serum. With the kit, one protocol replaces several and reduces preparation time, in some cases by as much as a day or more.
Vector Labs also offers a recently published immunohistochemistry guide, which provides a compilation of helpful tools for understanding and implementing IHC. This 48-page guide focuses on all aspects of IHC and its implementation, including history of the technique’s development and tips on choosing the right reagents for the application.
