March 2017—Sysmex America has signed a distribution agreement with Alifax S.r.l. for its erythrocyte sedimentation rate products. The Alifax Test 1 and Roller 20 family of automated analyzers gives ESR results in 20 seconds.
The agreement allows Sysmex to sell in North and South America effective Jan. 1. Sysmex will be the exclusive distributor for Alifax ESR instruments and associated disposables, controls, and calibrators sold in the United States, Mexico, and Canada (exclusivity begins July 1 in the U.S. and Canada). Sysmex will be a nonexclusive distributor of ESR instruments in Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, and Chile.
