April 2019—Hardy Diagnostics is now an authorized distributor of EliTech’s Mycofast US, a rapid system to detect, enumerate, and identify genital Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum.
The Mycofast US system takes 24 hours for a positive result and an additional 24 hours to confirm a negative result. This is a streamlined version, with enhanced sensitivity, of the traditional culture media method, the company says, and aims to be a cost-effective alternative to traditional culture media and PCR methods.
