Dr. Barkan, a former member of the CAP Cytopathology Committee, is an associate professor of pathology and urology, vice chair of education, anatomic and clinical pathology residency program director, cytopathology fellowship program director, and director of cytopathology, Loyola University Healthcare System, Maywood, Ill. Dr. Kurtycz, an advisor to the CAP Cytopathology Committee, is a professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Wisconsin and medical director of the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene.
