December 2019—Quansys Biosciences (Logan, Utah) announced that its Q-Plex technology has been selected as a featured innovation at the Geneva Health Forum in Switzerland, March 24–26, 2020.
Quansys has partnered with PATH, a nonprofit global health organization, to develop and bring to market two novel multiplexed assays. The Q-Plex Human Micronutrient Array (7-Plex) is a tool designed to quantify vitamin A, iron, and iodine deficiency biomarkers, as well as inflammation and Plasmodium falciparum malaria, using a single, small sample.
The Q-Plex Human Malaria Array (5-Plex) is a tool designed to measure HRP2 and pLDH at low concentrations and also quantify P. vivax– and P. falciparum-specific lactate dehydrogenase epitopes to distinguish between malaria species and C-reactive protein as an indicator of inflammation.
