July 27, 2023—Werfen announced it has completed the acquisition of Immucor after obtaining all necessary regulatory and antitrust approvals. The purchase price was about $2 billion.
“During our more than 50-year history, we have demonstrated our strong commitment to expand our IVD business through organic growth, complemented with highly strategic acquisitions,” Werfen CEO Carlos Pascual said in a news release.
