July 2022—Verichem Laboratories announced the availability of clinical reference materials intended for the calibration or calibration verification of ethanol assays.
The multilevel reference materials are designed to be treated as a patient specimen and feature universal instrument compatibility. The materials come in a ready-to-use, liquid-stable format that incorporates the serum-like reactivity of a protein-based matrix and are packaged in a kit containing 5 mL of material at each level. Shelf life is 18 months when stored at 2° to 8°C. The product also contains lactate, salicylate, and acetaminophen concentrations.
